Who am I?

I am a Citizen of the World, I am a Nomade, I am Aurovilian.

For the past 10 years, I have lived in Auroville, an intentional spiritual Community located in the south of India, where over 60 nationalities were living an experience of building Human Unity in all aspects of life, guided by the Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo and the Vision of the Mother.
In Auroville work is our Yoga and I was dividing my time between my practice as a Psycho-Somatotherapist and working actively for various groups and services of the Community.
When I arrived in Auroville in 2016, I had already lived a multitude of lives since my arrival in this current incarnation in 1964. Born in Germany, I left the country to study Tourism and Hotel Management in Austria. This led me to travel around the world for a French Holiday Village Group, primarily working on the Admin and Finance side. When I finally decided to settle down for a bit, it was Malaysia that I chose and for about 10 years, I worked in the Travel and Hotel Industry in various Management positions in this country.
When we changed the Millennium, life taught me that is was time to move back to Europe. A new job challenge in the Hospitality IT industry caught my interest. Based out of France, in “la Côte d’Azur”, I continued travelling the world for a couple of years, before spending again 2 years in South East Asia.
It was after this period that I experienced some kind of break down, one could call it depression or midlife crisis. I had no idea what I really wanted to do with my life, but it soon became very clear that what I’d always seen as ‘too sensitive’ was actually my greatest strength – I needed to connect with my Inner Guidance”, follow my instincts and leave this corporate world behind. Once I decided on that, it was simple, just follow the signs!
And the signs took me back to France, to a 4-year training program to become a certified Psycho-Somatotherapist in 2008.
Which life number was this? I have lost count, but I finally felt alive and useful on my new path as a therapist, for which I needed to get therapy myself… what an eye opener!
This was the beginning of my transformation… today after 22 years of Practice as a Therapist and Trainer in France and Auroville, I am still learning every day. Signs have been guiding my life ever since, including my joining of Auroville, where I was able to use every single skill, talent and wisdom that I have accumulated during my “Lives”.
I thank all my encounters along the way, I am truly grateful for all the teachings and experiences.
Today, I am grieving for Auroville, but I am remaining Aurovilian in my heart taking all the experiences, riches and soul beauties of this special place along with me… into the world.
I learned that I have always been in Exile, but also that I am a Nomad who takes her roots along and plants them wherever needed.
I believe today, I am able to help others to do the same, find their way back to themselves and their true essence.
